TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu and general secretary Nara Lokesh seems to have locked horns over the resuming the Yuva Galam padayatra. Lokesh called off his padayatra following the arrest of Chandrababu Naidu on September 9.
Lokesh had been actively engaged in holding consultations with the advocates on getting bail for his father. He camped in Delhi for more than 25 days in the name of holding consultations with the Supreme Court advocates about his father’s case.
After Naidu came out of jail on health grounds, Lokesh is not moving anywhere. He is camping in Hyderabad. He is not holding any consultations with the advocates nor is he holding any meetings with the party leaders. He is not conducting any programme and left the party to its fate.
Looking at this, Chandrababu Naidu reportedly told his son to resume his Yuva Galam padayatra. Sources say that Lokesh initially did not accept the proposal to start his padayatra. However, after great consultations, he had decided to resume it but end it in Visakhapatnam instead of Srikakulam.
Lokesh seems to have lost interest in meeting people. He is not even meeting the party leaders these days. He was active for some time holding consultations with the party senior leaders like Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary, when Chandrababu Naidu was in Rajamahendravaram central jail.
Lokesh attended the joint meeting of the TDP and Jana Sena in Vijayawada a few weeks ago, after Naidu was released on bail. After this meeting, he did not hold any meetings or participate in any public programme.
Chandrababu Naidu had reportedly told Lokesh to get busy with the party activities as there are just three to four months time for the next round of general election. However, Lokesh is not caring about his father’s advise and is liming himself to Hyderabad.
