Mammootty, the renowned actor in Mollywood, has once again proven his ability to draw audiences to the theaters with a string of successful films. Despite receiving mixed reviews, his latest movie, “Turbo,” impressed at the box office, raking in an impressive Rs 70 crore in just one month of its release.
According to reports, Disney Plus Hotstar has secured the digital rights for the film. The release date for the movie on the digital platform still needs to be discovered. Turbo is a commercial film that is well-known for its intense action sequences, featuring the talented Kannada actor Raj Shetty as the antagonist. In addition, Telugu actor Sunil also plays a significant part in the movie. Directed by Vysakh and produced by Mammootty under the Mammootty Kampany banner, Turbo has music composed by Justin Varghese. The film boasts a talented ensemble cast in pivotal roles, including Anjana Jayaprakash, Sabareesh Varma, Dileesh Pothan, and Bindu Panicker.

Jose, a Jeep driver from Idukki, gets entangled in his friend’s love story, which eventually forces him to relocate to Chennai. In his new surroundings, he bonds with Indhulekha and his sidekick Jerry. However, Chennai presents unexpected challenges for Jose, leading to a high-stakes confrontation with a gangster named Vetrivel Shanmugha Sundaram.
