It has become a trend that some Telugu movies not doing well in theaters end up with a good result after their digital release. This trend was evident after Post COVID, as audiences changed their preferences and started to watch a section of movies on OTT only. Hebah Patel’s latest film, Honeymoon Express, is the latest film to join this list.
Made as a romantic drama, Honeymoon Express failed to get a good release in theaters, and it resulted in the film becoming a big failure at the box office. Though the film had a bold and contemporary subject, it failed to strike a chord with audiences. However, the fortunes for the movie changed after it made its digital debut. Honeymoon Experss landed on Amazon Prime Video and caught everyone’s attention. According to the reports, the film has clocked 40 streaming minutes within a few days of its OTT release.
Hebah Patel and Chaitanya Rao played the lead roles in the film. Honeymoon Express tells the story of a couple that is on the verge of divorce. However, they happen to go to a resort, and their marriage starts to bloom once again. Directed by Bala Rajasekharuni, the film also stars Tanikella Bharani and Suhasini Maniratnam in crucial roles.
