Episode 5 Review: House of the Dragon Season 2

“The Slow-Burn Drama”

The episode serves as a slow poisoner, with the drama unfolding gradually as the series progresses from the crucial battle in the previous episode. It begins with mourning at the Queen’s place and changes happening at King’s Landing.

Aemond cunningly takes the crown with approvals, while Alicent shows her concern for the kingdom, harboring a slight rage that makes it interesting to see how things will move forward as the people begin to turn against the King.

The conversations between Rhaenyra and Mysaria, and Corlys and Baela, stand out as highlights in this episode, providing high moments in this slow-building drama.

In the end, Daemon continues with his shady dreams and smart tactics, aiming to rule as King himself.

The episode ends on a strong note with Jacaerys playing a part in it. It has been a quiet episode after two back-to-back standouts from the season.
