The film tells the story of Sohini, a young woman who joyfully embraces her family’s legacy of Odissi dance in the movie. During a stage performance in her community, Sohini’s classical dance unexpectedly gets disrupted by Mithun, a boy from the slums, who showcases his disco dance, captivating the audience more. An enraged Sohini approaches Mithun, who seems unaware of his surroundings. Without uttering a word, Mithun continues dancing to his unique music, showcasing his freestyle moves, much to the crowd’s amusement. Sohini comes from a family with a rich cultural heritage in Odisha, with her family’s traditions being passed down for three generations. On the other hand, Mithun comes from a modest background but possesses the self-assurance to showcase his dancing skills, even without formal training and practice. However, fate brings Sohini and Mithun together again as they participate in the dance reality show Dancing Star.
