Allu Sirish’s Buddy is preparing to arrive on OTT. Written and directed by Tamil Director Sam Anton, the film features Gayathri Bharadwaj, Prisha Rajesh Singh, Ali, Ajmal Amir and others. Buddy was released in theaters worldwide on August 2, 2024, and received mixed reviews.
The OTT giant Netflix has gained the digital rights of the film and according to their official announcement, Buddy will be made accessible to stream on OTT from August 30, 2024. The film followed the route of many Telugu movies, i.e., getting released on OTT after having a four-week theatrical run. Buddy will be available in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages while there is no update about the Hindi version.
Produced by Studio Green Films Private Limited, Buddy’s music was composed by Hip Hop Tamizha. The film tells us the tale of Aditya (Allu Sirish) who is a pilot. He falls in love with Pallavi (Gayatri Bharadwaj), who works as an air traffic controller. Nevertheless they do not meet each other personally, they get close through the conversations on the phone. In a twist of fate, Pallavi gets kidnapped and her soul transforms into a teddy bear. The rest of the story is how Aditya helps Pallavi and finds the culprits who planned her kidnap and several other crimes.
