In a resounding display of public support, the 12th day of YSRCP’s ‘Samajika Sadhikara’ yatra witnessed a fervent gathering in the heart of the Anakapalli constituency in Uttarandhra. The vibrant energy of the supporters pulsed through the air as a huge crowd converged for both the yatra and the subsequent public meeting. The event underscored the significance of YSRCP’s welfare approach that has transformed the livelihood of the marginalised.
The first one to take to the stage was Andhra Pradesh Revenue Minister Dharmana Prasad Rao who underscored the key role of women in family-building, emphasizing the government’s commitment to women empowerment. Minister Rao highlighted how CM Jagan led YSRCP took the strategic decision to channel all welfare schemes through women’s accounts, positioning them as the pillars of the household, family and the state at large.
In rebuttal to the unfounded assertions and hollow assurances put forth by TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu, the Minister retorted, “Chandrababu is imploring for an opportunity, claiming he will distribute the money again to the people. However, how can one place trust in Chandrababu, who failed to deliver on all his promises made in 2014?”
The Minister also took a jibe at Naidu over his lack of awareness of the idea of development. He questioned, “Some claim there is a dearth of development in AP today. Chandrababu Naidu must address this query: Is the construction of roads, the refurbishment of schools, streamlining government operations through the secretariat system, and transformative advancements in education and medicine not indicative of development? Everyone knows the scam you committed in the name of Janmabhoomi Committees.”
Next in line was Minister of Tribal Welfare Peedika Rajanna Dora who strongly criticized Naidu for his hypocritical stance, accusing him of neglecting the BC, SC, ST, and Minority communities. Dora asserted, “Our sole trust lies in CM Jagan. His victory is not just his own but a collective triumph for all of us. Unlike Chandrababu Naidu, who showed little regard for ST castes, CM Jagan appointed them as Deputy Chief Ministers, giving them their due respect and ensuring they get seated right beside him.”
Industries Minister Gudivada Amarnath firmly emphasized, “Where the late leader YSR took two steps towards development, his son, CM Jagan has taken ten. Under the TDP administration, the weaker sections of society received no recognition. However in CM Jagan’s tenure, there has been significant support for the welfare of BC, SC, ST, and Minority communities which was evident in the drafting of the welfare schemes, as well as political representation.”
Apart from the above, the event was also graced by other esteemed YSRCP leaders including Deputy Chief Minister Budi Mutyala Naidu, Anakapalle MP Satyavathi and MLC Varudu Kalyani.
YSRCP’s ‘Samajika Sadhikara’ yatra also took place in Pamarru in Krishna district (Central Zone) and Kavali in Nellore district (South Zone) today.
