Tiger Shroff’s Disaster movie premiered directly on Television

Tiger Shroff’s most recent films, such as Heropanti 2 and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, have been huge failures, but his most significant disappointment so far has been Ganapath, which was released last October. Despite its substantial budget and prominent star cast, the film has resulted in a severe and shocking disappointment in Indian cinema due to its poor filmmaking, storytelling, and acting. Since the film’s release in theaters, viewers have kept waiting for Ganapath’s digital debut.

Despite having a budget of 200 crores, the movie only managed to earn a net of 12 crores at the Indian box office, leaving distributors with less than 6 crores. Interestingly, none of the OTT platforms were interested in acquiring the film. Netflix, which had initially expressed interest, withdrew after observing its poor performance at the box office. Speculations indicate that Netflix may have pointed out concerns regarding the film’s visual effects and other undisclosed standards that did not align with their requirements.

The movie premiered yesterday on TV via the Sony Max channel. Two films from the South, Agent and Lal Salaam, have not been released on OTT platforms. Seeing the direct television release of Ganapath, netizens are now wondering whether the films of Akhil Akkineni and Rajinikanth will also follow the same route.
