Rajahmundry students rally behind Jagan

The YSRCP student wing took out a massive rally in Rajahmundry today with more than 10,000 students thronging the streets to sensitize people about the revolution in the education sector as well as developmental achievements of the Jagan-led YSRCP government in the last four and a half years. The thirty-minute-long rally traversed one and a half kilometers from the RTC complex to Ramalayam in the city.

While addressing a huge turnout, the YSRCP Student Wing president, Paniganti Chaitanya Reddy remarked, “Jagan Mohan Reddy completely transformed the education sector in the state by revamping institutions under the flagship Nadu-Nedu initiative. Today, the government school infrastructure is at par with private school infrastructure. More and more children from humble backgrounds are taking admission, getting introduced to English as well as experiencing digital classrooms. The education sector which was previously neglected under TDP-led Chandrababu Naidu’s leadership, is a priority for Jagan. With effective implementation of schemes like, AmmaVodi, Jagananna Gorumudda, Vidya Kanuka, Vidya Deevena, bi-lingual text books and the introduction of English medium, Jagan has further facilitated the enrolment of children in government schools. In fact most of the policies adopted by our government here are being mirrored by states across the country. Hence, to continue this trend of investing in human capital, we all pledge our support to Jagan.”

He also added, ‘Remarkably, Jagan is the sole chief minister in independent India’s history to establish 17 new medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh, with an allocated outlay of Rs 8,000 crores.”
