TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu is known for cunning politics. He is a master in backstabbing those who trust him. He never allowed his allies to win the election. He promotes the rebel candidates in the seats which were allocated to the allies.
Chandrababu Naidu had played this game several times in the past. He is now getting ready to play the same game once again. He had mastered this game and promotes his own party men to contest as rebel candidates. They would be in the field as independent candidates, and he supports them from behind.
Now Chandrababu Naidu had allocated 21 Assembly seats to the Jana Sena and 10 seats to the BJP. However, he is encouraging his own party men to leave the party and contest as independent candidates. He is also holding secret meetings with them and encouraging them to contest as rebel candidates.
In Pithapuram Assembly seat, where Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan had announced that he would contest, the TDP chief is promoting former MLA Varma to be in the fray as rebel candidate. Varma, an independent MLA in 2014 and lost the 2019 general election, is now getting ready to contest as independent once again.
Varma is holding meetings with his party leaders and supporters on his future course. He is firm on contesting as independent candidate with the blessings of Chandrababu Naidu. Though Naidu had asked Varma to give up the plan and support Pawan Kalyan, it is said that he had asked Varma to contest and defeat Pawan Kalyan.
Chandrababu Naidu is worried about the future of his son Nara Lokesh to succeed him as the chief minister. He feels that Pawan Kalyan would stand in between Lokesh and the chief minister post if Pawan wins the election.
Similarly, Chandrababu Naidu is said to be promoting his own party leaders to contest as rebel candidates in the seats that were given to the Jana Sena and the BJP. The TDP rebel candidates are getting ready to defeat the BJP and Jana Sena candidates in the seats given to them. Naidu is supporting these rebels as part of his cunning politics.
It is to be seen what the BJP and the Jana Sena leadership would do in this case of TDP rebels contesting the elections in the seats that were given to them in alliance.
