Kaithi, the action thriller starring Karthi and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, was a massive blockbuster at the box office. The film received huge appreciation from Tamil and Telugu audiences. Lokesh Kanagaraj also scored a big blockbuster with Vikram and linked it with Kaithi 2 at the end, paving the way for the Lokesh Cinematic Universe. The crowd was so happy with this and excited to watch the sequels of Kaithi and Vikram.
However, despite such hype and craze for Kaithi 2, Director Lokesh Kanagaraj is repeatedly delaying the film. At first, the film was expected to start around 2022, but Lokesh made Leo with Vijay, and when the fans expected him to start it after Leo, he announced Coolie, a new film with Superstar Rajinikanth. Then the fans at least expected him to take on Kaithi 2 after Coolie. Karthi also hinted about the film’s commencement in early 2025. have also announced this. But the latest reports suggest that Lokesh Kanagaraj will work with Bollyowood Superstar Aamir Khan. As of now, this is not official news, but if it turns out to be true, then it will be a severe disappointment for the fans of Kaithi 2.
Not only for Kaithi 2, audiences are also waiting to see the full version of Rolex, the character who was played by Suriya, and its glimpse was out at the end of Vikram. Fans think that Lokesh should concentrate on LCU and make the sequels of Kaithi and Vikram as soon as possible. A few months ago, Lokesh and the team said they would release a short film about the origin of LCU, but even this one has not seen the limelight till now.
