In the run-up to the upcoming elections, the YSR Congress party is leaving no stone unturned to showcase the achievements of Chief Minister Jagan’s government in Andhra Pradesh over the past 4.5 years. Today marked the twelfth day of the Samajika Sadhikara Yatra, and the on-ground reception in Kavali in Nellore remains impressive, with people enthusiastically welcoming the yatra and extending their support.
Minister Seedri Appalaraju, Rajya Sabha MP Beeda Mastan Rao, Kavali MLA Rami Reddy Pratap Kumar Reddy, and other senior leaders, including MLA Anil Kumar, Hafeez Khan and SC Cell Chairperson Jupudi Prabhakar and other party leaders participated in the Yatra today in Kavali.
The bus yatra, drawing a massive gathering of thousands of supporters, kicked off with a brief press conference. This was followed by an interaction with local influencers and a visit to the Dargah in Bogole Mandal. After the Dargah visit, the leaders led a Padyatra from Janda Chettu to the public meeting venue at the BPS centre.
Praising Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy for bringing a myriad of developmental opportunities to the state, Minister Seediri Appalaraju highlighted that CM Jagan is the only chief minister in Andhra Pradesh who has given equal importance to both welfare and development. He added that CM Jagan had not only provided respect and representation to people belonging to the backward classes but also opportunities like jobs.
Drawing a stark contrast between the neglectful governance of Chandrababu Naidu and the poor state of the education sector in the state, he stated, ‘During Chandrababu Naidu’s regime, as many as 5000 schools were forced to shut down as the government didn’t provide appropriate funds for the operation of these schools. Not just this, even the health sector was in a dilapidated condition under Naidu.’
‘However, the situation has completely changed under CM Jagan as he has brought revolutionary changes in the education system, and today, Andhra Pradesh government school children have become so able that they represented the state at the United Nations in the USA,’ he added. He further praised the government for their one-of-a-kind initiatives like the Family Doctor concept, Jagananna Aarogya Suraksha, and the establishment of 17 new medical colleges for the betterment of healthcare.
Taking the discussion forward, Rajya Sabha MP Bidamastan Rao expressed gratitude for the support received from Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, emphasizing him as a role model for social justice and welfare in India. Rao further highlighted the inclusive composition of Rajya Sabha members and the inclusion of all minorities in the cabinet, showcasing the Chief Minister’s commitment to social justice.
Addressing the crowd, Kavali MLA Ramireddy Pratap Kumar Reddy expressed that CM Jagan has turned the commitment of ‘saying means doing’ into a slogan, evoking joy and satisfaction among the people.
YSRCP’s Samajika Sadhikara bus yatra also took place in Anakapalli constituency (North Zone) and Pamarru constituency in Krishna district.
