The second leg of the YSRCP’s Samajika Sadhikara bus yatra, which entered the Ponnur constituency today received a rousing reception from the public with thousands of people marching along the yatra resonating the ruling party’s message of social and political empowerment rendered to the backward communities in the state.
Distinguished leaders from BC, SC, ST, and Minority communities including Ministers Chelluboyina Venugopala Krishna, Jogi Ramesh, MPs Alla Ayodhya Rami Reddy, Mopidevi Venkataramana, Nandigama Suresh, MLAs Anil Kumar Yadav, Kilari Venkata Rosaiah, SK Mohammad Mustafa, MLCs Dokka Manikya Varaprasad, Marri Rajasekhar, SC Cell Chairman Jupudi Prabhakar, AP Electronic Media Advisor Ali and other senior leaders participated in the bus yatra.
Addressing a huge gathering at the Island Center in Ponnu town, Minister Chelluboyina Venugopala Krishna said, “CM Jagan, a visionary leader who perceived marginalized communities as his own said that if God empowers me to transform a poor man’s life, I will usher in change.True to his words, he implemented nine welfare schemes (Navarathnalu) to alleviate poverty.”
The minister continued, “In his pursuit of truth, CM Jagan stands as an unwavering force. His commitment to dispel falsehood is the cornerstone of his leadership.”
The minister also noted that even in the face of adversity, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, CM Jagan’s commitment to welfare remained unyielding. “Social Security Pensions, Amma Vodi, and various other welfare schemes continued unabated, demonstrating his steadfast dedication to uplift the vulnerable.”
Housing Minister Jogi Ramesh said, “In the 75 years of independent India’s history, CM Jagan stands out as a unique leader who is dedicated to social justice and dharma. Out of the 25 ministerial positions, CM Jagan has allocated 17 to individuals from BC, SC, ST, and Minority communities, demonstrating a strong commitment to inclusivity and representation.”
Taking a dig at the opposition, the minister said the unity of BC, SC, ST, and minorities had made the opposition parties TDP and JSP jittery. He said, “While Chandrababu after coming out of prison proceeded to Hyderabad, Lokesh’s whereabouts remain unknown. The current location of Pawan Kalyan is also uncertain. There is complete lack of cohesion.”
The MLA further said that the constituency had received Rs 1524 crores through various welfare schemes. Additionally, the YSRCP government has registered 10,400 house sites pattas in Ponnur, amounting to a cost of Rs 12,000 crores.
YSRCP’s Samajika Sadhikara bus yatra also took place at Narasannapeta in Srikakulam district (North Zone) and Hindupur in Sri Sathya Sai district (South Zone) today.
