CBI former JD launches new political party in AP

The CBI former joint director V V Lakshminarayana launched a new political party in Andhra Pradesh ahead of the 2024 general election. He released the party flag and announced the name at a meeting in Vijayawada on Friday.

Lakshminarayana told the media persons that his party would contest all 175 Assembly constituencies in the state in the coming elections. He said he would not go for alliance with any political party in the state.

He also said that the party would also contest all the 25 Parliament constituencies in the state.

He said that the party would work for the political empowerment of the people as advocated by late Dr B R Ambedkar. He said that he would give power to the people and ensure that they rule themselves.

Lakshminarayana said that there is no law and order in the state. He claimed that people were living in fear of both the police and the politicians. He emphasized the need to protect the rights of the people. His party would work for the protection of the people and their rights in the state.

He also said that the party would fight for the special category status to the state. He alleged that the YSR Congress, TDP and Jana Sena have forgotten the promise of special category status to the state, a promise that was made to the people of the state at the time of bifurcation. He said that the promise was made on the floor of Parliament and the political parties have conveniently ignored it. His party would fight to get the special category status to the state, he said.

Lakshminarayana took voluntary retirement and joined the Jana Sena party in the 2019 general election. He contested from the Lok Sabha from Visakhapatnam constituency on Jana Sena ticket. Later, after his defeat, he left the Jana Sena party and worked on his own. Finally, he announced the new political party, called Jai Bharat National Party.

It is to be seen how far he would be able to influence the voters in the coming elections by contesting on his own political outfit. Will people welcome him and vote for him is to be seen in the elections.
