Story:
Brinda (Trisha Krishnan) is a sub-inspector of police who embarks on a mission to apprehend a serial killer. As she delves deeper into the investigation, she uncovers additional evidence of a mass massacre perpetrated by a deranged person, Thakur (Anand Sami). Performances:
Trisha surprises everyone with her emotional performance in Brinda. Despite being known for glamorous roles, she shines in this series with her serious demeanor and the pain she portrays through her eyes. Trisha’s portrayal of Brinda is flawless, making her the show’s standout star. Ravindra Vijay continues to impress with his solid roles, proving to be an underrated actor who is sure to rise to greater heights with this series. Vijay’s portrayal of a cop alongside Trisha is commendable, with their investigation scenes being executed superbly. Indrajith Sukumar delivers a stellar performance, adding depth to the series with his settled acting. Rakendu Mouli gives a commendable performance.
Anand Sami, as the serial killer, stands out with his captivating expressions and body language, creating a chilling atmosphere. Aamani, in the role of Trisha’s mother, delivers a strong performance, while the rest of the cast, as cops, also do justice to their roles.

Surya Manoj directs Brinda, a crime drama featuring a serial killer. While this theme has been explored in numerous films and web series, what sets Brinda apart is Manoj’s exceptional screenplay. The tension and suspense in each episode are palpable, and the interconnected backstories of the characters add to the overall appeal. Trisha Krishnan’s debut in the Telugu OTT space is noteworthy, as her intense portrayal captivates the audience. Brinda becomes a compelling watch with a fresh cast and Trisha’s compelling performance. Apart from a few routine troops of the genre and some dragged moments, Surya made this series engaging enough.

The selection of locations, stunning backdrop, and lighting effectively establish the show’s atmosphere. From the very first episode, Brinda captivates the audience, and the killer’s religious motives are well thought out. Web series featuring serial killers often delve into the killer’s backstory to explain their motivations. However, Brinda takes a unique approach. Trisha and the serial killer both have a backstory, yet the way their emotional backgrounds are upheld until the conclusion is exceptional. Brinda excelled in evoking strong emotions and stands out as one of the best-crafted series in recent memory, particularly in terms of its dramatic impact.
Negatives:
After a significant plot twist is unveiled in the seventh episode, the eighth episode follows a somewhat predictable path and concludes straightforwardly. The pace slows down in the sixth episode, particularly during the killer’s flashback sequence.
