AP govt allocates space for offices in Viskahapatnam

The Andhra Pradesh state government had allocated space for offices in Visakhapatnam. The government had already issued orders directing the senior officials to shift to Visakhapatnam as the chief minister Y S Jagna Mohan Reddy and other ministers would be visiting Visakhapatnam to hold review meetings on the development of north Andhra region.

The state government had identified more than 3 lakh square feet space in the government buildings and another 4 lakh square feet of space in the private buildings. The state government allocated over 3 lakh square feet of space for 35 departments and heads of the departments.

The chief minister wants to stay in Visakhapatnam to hold review meetings with the officials on the development of the north Andhra region. The chief minister says that he will be staying in the port city to review various development works in undivided Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam districts.

The chief minister intends to focus on the development of the north Andhra region. Though the city was proposed as the executive capital of the state, the chief minister wants to stay here for some days to personally see the developmental works. The region had been a neglected one for several decades and the chief minister wants to focus on the development of the region now.

He wanted to shift the government to Visakhapatnam initially. Because there are several cases pending in the high court and supreme court on the three capitals issue, the chief minister wants to move here in the name of holding reviews on its development.

The chief minister had said that he would start living in Visakhapatnam from July this year. However, it was postponed to September, which was again postponed to December. The chief minister is likely to come to this city in December this year along with senior officials. He is also likely to celebrate his Christmas in Visakhapatnam.
