Aavesham is now streaming on OTT

Aavesham, the recent blockbuster from the Malayalam film industry, has swiftly transitioned to the online platform just a month after its theatrical debut on April 11. This captivating movie featuring Fahadh Faasil can now be enjoyed on Amazon Prime. It is exclusively available in Malayalam with English subtitles. Currently, the availability of this action comedy in other languages is unknown, but it is anticipated that the streaming platform will soon make an official announcement about it.

Following the movie’s initial release in theaters, it was revealed that the renowned streaming service, Amazon Prime Video, had acquired the rights to stream Aavesham after its theatrical run. Sources indicate that the platform paid a substantial amount for the OTT streaming rights of this film directed by Jithu Madhavan. Initially, it was anticipated that the action-comedy would be released by the end of May. However, fans of the actor and movie enthusiasts who were unable to watch the film in theaters were in for a delightful surprise. Aavesham would soon be accessible on digital platforms, much earlier than expected. Surprisingly, none of the other Vishu releases, such as Varshangalkku Shesham by Vineeth Sreenivasan or Jai Ganesh by Unni Mukundan, have been made available on any OTT platforms yet. Even Aadujeevitham, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and released in March, has not made its way to digital platforms.

Aavesham was released amidst massive anticipation, and it witnessed an astounding surge in attendance in the theaters, resulting in the highest box office opening on April 11. Merely three weeks after its theatrical debut, the film joined the prestigious Rs 100 crore club and crossed the Rs 150 Crore Gross mark in its full run at the box office. This action-comedy, the seventh Malayalam film of the year to surpass the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office, revolves around three young boys who find themselves entangled with a prominent gangster while seeking support to confront their college bullies. Fahadh Faasil’s arrival injects fresh energy into Aavesham, heightening the suspenseful and comedic elements of the movie. The remaining cast of the film includes Sajin Gopu, Mansoor Ali Khan, Midhutty, Pranav Raj, Mithun Jai Shankar, Neeraja Rajendran, and Roshan Shanavas, all of whom have delivered stellar performances.
