There is talk in the town that former MLA Vangaveeti Radha Krishna is coming back to the YSR Congress. He is currently with the TDP and keeping away from the party activities and the leaders. He is close to the YSR Congress MLAs Kodali Nani and Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan.
Radha Krishna left the YSR Congress after before the 2019 general election and join the TDP. He made several allegations against the YSR Congress leadership and criticised Jagan Mohan Reddy for not giving freedom to the party leaders to move around.
He said that the party had prevented him from going to Avanigadda and other places and wondered whether he should take permission from anyone to visit any place. He then left the party and joined the TDP.
Vangaveeti expected the TDP to give him ticket, but the party did not give him the ticket. The party also did not use his services to campaign for the party candidates in the undivided Krishna district. He was left to his fate during the elections.
After the elections and the YSR Congress forming the government, Vangaveeti remained silent in the TDP politics. He did not take any part in any of the party programmes. He remained silent but continued his friendship with Kodali Nani and Vamsi.
Sources say that Kodali Nani and Vamsi are working to bring Vangaveeti to the party once again. They held talks with chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and convinced him to accept Vangaveeti. The chief minister too is said to have given green signal for the entry of Vangaveeti.
The chief minister is planning to field him to the Lok Sabha from Machilipatnam Parliament seat. The set is now represented by Vallabhaneni Balasouri who is likely to be kept out of the race in the coming elections.
It is to be seen if Vangaveeti would accept this offer and return to the YSR Congress or not.
