Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday asserted that the YSR Congress would win more seats in this election than the party secured in 2019 elections. The chief minister interacted with the members of the IPAC here on Thursday. He visited the IPAC office in Vijayawada in the morning.
Jagan Mohan Reddy said that the numbers would surprise the nation. The whole country would look at Andhra Pradesh on June 4, Jagan Mohan Reddy said. He thanked the IPAC members for their support to his party during the elections. He said that the bonding would continue in the days to come.
The chief minister further said that he had given better administration during the last five years. The next five years, we would give even better administration, he said. He sought their cooperation in reaching out to the people.
This was the first time that Jagan Mohan Reddy spoke anything about the just-concluded general elections. Sources say that Jagan Mohan Reddy is expecting more than 151 Assembly seats this time. He is also confident of winning more than 22 Parliament seats in this election.
Sources in the chief minister office say that Jagan Mohan Reddy is expecting over 160 Assembly seats this time and 23 Parliament seats. He got his men to conduct internal survey on the day of polling and got these numbers, sources added.
