Utsavam, the emotional drama, is now streaming on OTT. Made with a small budget, the film had a good ensemble cast, and it was promoted by a lot of industry people before the release. However, the film failed to impress audiences and became a failure at the box office. The film was also taken out of theaters within no time because of a terrible turnaround from audiences.
Prime Video, the famous OTT platform, has bagged the digital rights to Utsavam, and the film is currently available for online streaming. The makers hope that their film finds the right kind of response upon its OTT release. Directed by Arjun Sai, Utsavam stars Dilip Prakash and Regina Cassandra in the lead roles, and it also has a good ensemble of cast, which includes Prakash Raj, Rajendra Prasad, Brahmanandam, Nazar, and Ali in crucial roles. It is also being said that makers landed in profits because of the OTT deal with Prime Video.
Utsavam is set against the backdrop of theater art. The film tells the story of Krishna Abhimanyu, who is the son of renowned theater artist at Surabi Theatre, Abhimanyu Narayana, and Krishna wants to revive the art of theater. Rama is also the daughter of another famous theater artist, Mahadeva Nayudu. Krishna and Rama both decide to work together to bring back the traditional theater art culture, and the rest of the story is what problems they face in this process.
