Insomnia is now streaming on OTT. The British thriller TV series is based on a novel written by Sarah Pinborough (in 2022), who also happens to be the creator of the series. The series premiered on Paramount+ on May 23, 2024. The latest exciting piece of information is that all the episodes of Insomnia have begun streaming on Sony LIV.
Insomnia tells the story of a woman who gets affected by the title, i.e., Insomnia, who is nearing her 40th birthday. The character’s name is Emma, played by Vicky Mcclure. She is a wealthy lady, and she unexpectedly suffers from sleep deprivation, making her crazy. Then she decides to find the unknown truth about her past, which could stop her life from getting more tragic. As said above, Sarah Pinborough made this six-part series by adapting her own novel of the same name.
Insomnia was produced by Charlotte Essex and Andy Harries; Jessica Burdett and Tim Bricknell were the executive producers of the series. Borkur Sightorsson directed the series, while the Left Bank Pictures banner backed it along with Build Own Your Films. Also, Vicky Mcclure, who played the lead role, also happens to be one of the producers of Insomnia. Tune into Sony LIV if you want to have an intriguing series with 45-47 minute runtime for each episode.
