Ravi Teja also called as Mass Maharaja who was on a roll with back2back hits through Dhamaka & Waltair Veerayya was recently seen in Tiger Nageswara Rao with a tagline of Based on the True Rumors. After the failure of Ravanasura, Ravi Teja and his fans kept high expectations on Tiger Nageswara Rao which happened to be the costliest film from his career. Its a period action thriller written and directed by Vamsee and produced by Abhishek Agarwal under the production company Abhishek Agarwal Arts. Ravi Teja who usually stays silent during promotional activities gave his everything for Tiger Nageswara Rao by actively promoting it in Bollywood as well since it is his first Pan India project. The film was released simultaneously in multiple languages on the occasion of Dussehra, However the tamil version got delayed for unknown reasons and released after a week. Tiger Nageswara Rao was released to mixed reviews from critics in a competition with Nandamuri Balakrishna Bhagavanth Kesari and Vijay Leo. The trimmed version of the film was received well by the netizens and Ravi Teja got good applause for his performance. Though the team has heavily invested on this film, It didn’t reach to the expectations which eventually turned out as an average run at the Box Office. Whenever Ravi Teja tries something new which is out of his comfort zone, Though he receives the acknowledgement for his performance usually the film’s run will be in an opposite direction. Gopichand Malineni was first introduced as a director through Don Seenu which was given break to Ravi Teja after the failure of Shambo Shiva Shambo. This combination was again back to score hits through Balupu followed by Krack eventually after the failures of Sarocharu and Disco Raja. This indicates that whenever Ravi Teja is facing his hard time with experiments, The director has come in to rescue with the commercial subjects that suits Ravi Teja style. After Tiger Nageswara Rao, Ravi Teja has lined up with Gopichand Malineni which marks as the fourth collaboration. SS Thaman has roped in to score music. Rashmika Mandanna was supposed to play as love interest, Sources say she walked out from the project citing date issues. With that the team is in hunt for the leading lady. Buzz is that either Krithi Shetty or Priyanka Arul Mohan are being considered.
