Ramoji does a blindfold writing in Eenadu

Cherukuri Ramoji Rao, chairman of the Eenadu group had become blind these days. His writings in Eenadu have neither meaningless nor complete distortion of facts.

On Thursday, he came up with a story on the tabs given by the state government to the Class VIII students. He says that the students have become addicts to the games in the tabs and were using the tabs only to play games, including the online games.

He also said that the parents were complaining to the teachers about the misuse of tabs and want the teachers to take back the tabs. He does not want the children to have the tabs and hence he says that the distribution of tabs is a waste expenditure.

But what the fact is that the tabs have access to the education content provided by the Byjus. There are also some Apps in the tabs that would help the students academically. There is nothing for the students to download, including the games. The rights were not given to the students to use the tabs as they like.

So where is the question of students playing games in the tabs and where the question of parents complaining to the teachers. The tabs are fully packed with the study materials for the students and not the entertainment stuff.

More than this, these days both the parents have mobile phones on hand and the children have access to those phones. Children keep playing games in the mobile phones and we hardly find children having no access to their parents’ phones.

Then why should Ramoji Rao worry only about the tabs given to the students by the state government? What is his problem here? Perhaps the problem is that he is unable to digest the fact that the children from the poor families have access to the tabs and not those children from the rich families. He wants the children of the rich families to have access to the tabs or mobile phones but not the poor!

Mr Ramoji Rao, things will not go as you expect. This is the social media era and people have access to anything and everything. Those days of Eenadu dictating terms to the people have gone! So better mend yourself.
