Made as a Political Survival Thriller, Nayattu focuses on three Policemen. Praveen Michael (Kunchacko Boban) enlists in the police department as the fresh CPO. A nearby political thug, who has ties to COP Sunitha (Nimisha Sajayan), is brought in for causing continuous disturbances. Praveen and veteran police officer Maniyan (Joju George) engage in a physical altercation with the thug and detain him in the cell. Subsequently, they are instructed by the SP to release him. Nevertheless, the situation escalates, and the trio of police officers find themselves fleeing from the authorities.
