Naidu’s judicial remand extended to November 1

The ACB court in Vijayawada had extended the judicial remand of TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu to November 1. The ACB court heard the arguments on both sides on Thursday.

The ACB court judge also held a virtual meeting with Chandrababu Naidu from Rajamahendravaram central jail. She enquired about the health of Chandrababu Naidu and directed the jail officials to give her the medical report.

The ACB court judge also asked whether Naidu had any problems in the jail. Naidu expressed doubts over the security for him in the jail. Then the judge asked Naidu to give a written representation to her and directed the jail officials to forward the letter to her.

After talking to Chandrababu Naidu, the judge extended the judicial remand to November 1. Meanwhile, the TDP is gearing up for an extensive general body meeting to be held on October 21 at Rajamahendravaram. Party general secretary Nara Lokesh would chair the meeting. He is likely to discuss about the party’s strategy to be followed with Chandrababu Naidu in jail.

The party is planning to send Naidu’s wife Bhuvaneswari to visit the families of those who died of cardiac arrest following the arrest of Chandrababu Naidu. She would be meeting the bereaved family members during her tour.

Lokesh is also planning to have a state-wide tour shortly. He would also be announcing the withdrawal of his Yuva Galam padayatra for the time being. He is likely to postpone the Yuva Galam till Chandrababu Naidu is out on bail.
