Naidu gets conditional bail in AP high court

The AP high court on Tuesday granted four weeks conditional bail to TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu. The court had asked Naidu to get his cataract surgery done at the hospital of his own choice and report back to the jail superintendent in Rajamahendravaram on November 28.

The court directed Chandrababu Naidu to give two sureties and a cash surety of Rs 1 lakh to get the bail. He was also directed by the court to submit the cataract surgery report to the superintendent of the jail at Rajamahendravaram at the time of his surrender on or before November 28.

“The petitioner shall not directly or indirectly make any inducement, threat, or promise to any person acquainted with the facts of the case to dissuade him from disclosing such facts to the court or any other authority,” the court said.

As the bail was granted on health grounds, the court directed Chandrababu Naidu to use the bail period only to get the health check ups done and operations if any required are done.

Meanwhile, the supreme court is scheduled to hear the regular bail petition of Chandrababu Naidu on November 10.

Chandrababu Naidu approached the high court on bail as the ACB court in Vijayawada refused to give the bail. He is also fighting the legal battle in the supreme court where the quash petition and bail petitions are pending.

It is likely that Chandrababu Naidu is released today from the Rajamahendravaram central jail, once the judgement order copy reaches the superintendent of the jail.
