Mr Bachchan: Harish Shankar Calls August 15th Clash Unexpected

In a highly anticipated clash, commercial directors Puri Jagannath and Harish Shankar are set to face off on August 15th. Puri Jagannath, known for his mass appeal films, is bringing Ram Pothineni to the screen in “Double iSmart,” while Harish Shankar is directing Ravi Teja in “Mr. Bachchan.” Both films promise to deliver the commercial entertainment that audiences love, making this clash a significant event in Tollywood.

At the teaser launch event for “Mr. Bachchan,” Harish Shankar addressed the unexpected clash. He explained that the release timing was due to unforeseen circumstances and emphasized his respect for Puri Jagannath, with whom he has worked closely in the past. Shankar acknowledged Jagannath’s legendary status in the industry and assured that this competition would not lead to any misunderstandings. In a surprising announcement, he also revealed that his next project would feature Ram Pothineni.

Adding an interesting twist to the release schedule, Harish Shankar disclosed that “Mr. Bachchan” would hit theaters on August 15th following a push from the distribution team. This decision came in the wake of the official postponement of Allu Arjun’s highly awaited “Pushpa 2,” creating an opportunity for Shankar’s film to fill the gap. Although “Double iSmart” had initially claimed the date, both films will now compete head-to-head, promising an exciting showdown for Tollywood fans.
