Kalki 2898 AD is eagerly awaited in the Telugu film industry and is slated to premiere on June 27, 2024. Directed by Nag Ashwin, renowned for Mahanati, this superhero flick features Prabhas and Deepika Padukone as the main protagonists. Rumors were already abuzz that renowned actress Mrunal Thakur would be appearing in a unique role in the movie. This information has been verified as Mrunal has completed filming her cameo.
Additionally, it has been revealed that veteran actress Shobana will join the cast. She is set to portray Prabhas’s mother in the film. Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan also play significant roles in this movie. Vyjayanthi Movies are making this film with a massive budget of Rs 400 crores. The post-production process is taking place in multiple countries, and the team is working against the clock to ensure the film’s timely release. Half of the film’s budget has been allocated to the actors’ salaries. Prabhas has received an astounding payment of Rs 150 crore, while Kamal Haasan has been paid Rs 50 crore. Vyjayanthi Movies is leaving no stone unturned and plans to release the film in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam languages.
Santhosh Narayanan has been appointed as the music composer for this movie, with Netflix securing the OTT rights. Additionally, an animated series titled Bujji & Bhairava is currently available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The creators have ambitious plans to unveil the trailer on a grand scale in the upcoming days. It is worth mentioning that Disha Patani will be portraying a significant character in the film.
