Salaar Sets a New Benchmark in the Ongoing Re-Release Trend

In the ongoing re-release trend, another new benchmark has now been set, and it’s by none other than Rebel Star Prabhas, who has been a standout performer with consistent hits at the box office. Breaking the norm of one re-release on the occasion of a star hero’s birthday, Prabhas will have four re-releases during his birthday week, highlighting some interesting points about the re-release phenomenon.

The re-release concept has emerged to indulge a nostalgic vibe, allowing films that are at least 5 to 10 years old to return to the box office with special shows. Many viewers today believe that older films are far better than current projects, which often rely more on production values rather than sticking to the core plot of the story. However, Salaar has broken the shackles and changed the audience’s mindset.

The re-release of Prabhas’s Salaar, despite returning to screens within nine months, has garnered more positive attention than his other projects, Mr. Perfect and Eeshwar, which are also having special shows after 13 and 22 years, respectively, since their original runs.
