Kalki 2898 AD maintained its impressive performance during its third weekend. Despite a drop of less than 65 percent from the second weekend, which was mainly due to reduced screenings on Friday because of the release of Indian 2 and Sarfira, the film managed to recover its lost audience. This led to a significant surge in collections on Saturday, with numbers more than doubling nationwide. Prabhas and Nag Ashwin’s biggie has earned Rs 950 Crores Gross at the worldwide box office.
The Film gathered good numbers yesterday in the Telugu States, but the long run of the Hindi version is helping its total. The current box office collection of Kalki 2898 AD (Hindi) stands at 255.15 crores, with more earnings expected in the upcoming weekdays. It is anticipated that at least an additional 10 crores will be added to the total, surpassing the 265 crores mark. After that, achieving the 275 crore milestone should be easy for the film. Kalki crossed Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan in North America and entered North America’s Top 2 List of highest grossers, collecting 17.5 Million.
Kalki 2898 AD offers a compelling plot and stunning visuals that captivate its viewers. Set in a dystopian future 6000 years after the Kurukshetra war of the Mahabharata, the film portrays a world under the control of oppressive forces. Prabhas plays the role of Bhairava, a determined bounty hunter, while Deepika Padukone takes on the character of Sumathi (SUM-80), a pregnant test subject. Amitabh Bachchan embodies the character of Ashwatthama, deeply rooted in the Mahabharata, and Kamal Haasan brings to life the formidable supreme leader, Yaskin. Although the film’s epic tale continues, the narrative remains unfinished. The directors have announced a follow-up in production, leaving the audience eagerly anticipating the next chapter. While the exact release date for the sequel is pending, sources suggest it is slated for a late 2025 premiere, adding to the excitement.
