IF is now available on OTT on Rental Mode

Nearly 60 days after its cinema debut, the IF movie has arrived on OTT platforms. However, similar to numerous recent Hollywood releases, the film can be rented on Prime Video and BMS Stream for Rs. 389. John Krasinski is credited with writing, producing, and directing the live-action animated fantasy comedy IF. The voice cast includes Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Louis Gossett Jr., and Steve Carell, as well as Cailey Fleming, Ryan Reynolds, John Krasinski, Fiona Shaw, Alan Kim, and Liza Colón-Zayas. The plot revolves around a girl and her neighbor who realize they can see their imaginary friends.

The movie IF, directed by John Krasinski, follows a young girl who discovers her extraordinary talent in imagining the imaginary companions of others. Utilizing this newfound skill, she embarks on a whimsical adventure to reunite missing imaginary friends with their original owners. The diverse and captivating characters in IF, brought to life by actors like Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Louis Gossett Jr., Steve Carell, and numerous others, highlight the immense power of a child’s imagination. Before its release, IF had high hopes due to its diverse cast and lack of family-friendly rivals. However, the film failed to captivate its audience. Despite already surpassing $100 million in domestic earnings, IF experienced declining weekend box office sales, potentially influenced by new movie releases or a general lack of interest in visiting cinemas. The underperformance was particularly disheartening considering the $110 million budget invested in the film. May turned out to be a challenging month for IF and several other movies that were anticipated to be major hits.

IF is a heartwarming movie with a conclusion that will surely touch your heart. The closing sequence showcases a poignant goodbye between Bea and Cal. They share one final embrace before Bea and her father bid farewell to New York City. Bea’s father, who requires surgery, spends a significant amount of time in the hospital. The procedure is thriving, with a diverse and captivating ensemble of actors, despite a moment of intense suspense towards the end of the film. While packing up their New York City apartment, Bea and her father stumble upon a childhood sketch she drew. The drawing features her parents, Bea, and her imaginary friend Calvin, who is based on Ryan Reynolds’ character Cal from IF.
