High court posts Naidu’s cases to November 15

The Andhra Pradesh high court on Friday posted a hearing of TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu’s bail petition to November 15. The state government’s special public prosecutor Vivekananda told the high court that additional advocate general Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy was not available for hearing of the case.

The special public prosecutor told the court that the additional advocate general was busy with other cases, and he would not be available for hearing of this case. Based on this information, the court posted the case for its next hearing on November 15.

Chandrababu Naidu is already on interim bail given by the AP high court. The court granted him the interim bail on health grounds. The court told Naidu to produce the medical documents to the superintendent of the Rajamahendravaram central jail on his return to the jail.

The court also told Naidu to surrender to the jail superintendent on or before November 28. He was also directed by the court not to attend political meetings, or party meetings or address any press conferences during the interim bail period.

Chandrababu Naidu took special health check-up at the AIG hospital in Hyderabad for two days. Later, he went to the L V Prasad Eye Institute for cataract surgery to his right eye. He is currently taking a rest at his house in Hyderabad.

Chandrababu Naidu is facing five cases from the state CID. Besides the skill development scam in which he was arrested, the CID had filed fiber net case, Amaravati inner ring road alignment case, liquor license case and free sand case.

He had already filed a quash petition on skill development case in supreme court. He also filed an anticipatory bail petition in the fiber net case in the same supreme court. The two cases were posted for the next hearing on November 30.
