In February, Pruthvi Ambaar faced a significant challenge – he had two movie releases in theaters simultaneously and needed to ensure proper promotion for both. One of the films was “For Regn,” and the other was “Matsyagandha.” Despite receiving mixed reviews upon its release, “For Regn,” directed by newcomer Naveen Dwarakanath, performed well in theaters and even had a successful event to celebrate its achievements. The movie has secured an OTT deal and is currently available for streaming. As of April 19, “For Regn” can be watched on Amazon Prime Video.
For Regn marked Pruthvi’s debut film alongside Milana Nagaraj. The pair portrayed the characters of Ashu and Anvi, a couple who secretly tied the knot after a short courtship without informing their respective parents. However, when their families discover their marital status, they insist on organizing a traditional ceremony to appease curious relatives. Despite facing minor challenges due to cultural disparities, the couple manages to overcome them. However, their relationship reaches a breaking point when Ashu starts distancing himself from Anvi without providing any explanation. It is worth mentioning that For Regn might be Milana’s final release for some time, as she is expecting her first child with her husband, actor Darling Krishna. On the other hand, Pruthvi has several upcoming projects, most of which were signed earlier. He has not made any recent announcements regarding new ventures. The streaming platform or the film’s team has not disclosed any information regarding the OTT release of For Regn and released it. Additionally, For Regn has been included in Yuva Rajkumar’s film Yuva, although the latter is only available for rental.
The anticipated movies scheduled for release on OTT platforms this week were Avatara Purusha 2 and Blink, which are set to be available on Prime Video. However, more information needs to be provided regarding the exact release dates.
