Raayan is the 50th Film of Actor Dhanush. The film performed superbly at the box office. The film saw a great first weekend by collecting over 70 crores worldwide. Thereafter, the film showed proper consistency in both second and third weekends. Raayan has now crossed a remarkable landmark, the 150 crores gross mark at the worldwide box office Raayan has grossed nearly 75 crores gross in Tamil Nadu, 25 crores from Telugu States and Rest of India. The movie is also a super-duper hit at the box office. This is an all-time record for Dhanush.
In the overseas market, Raayan has collected $5Million. Raayan received mixed reviews upon its theatrical release on July 26th and trade experts did not expect it to perform big at the ticket windows. Along with the impressive performances from everyone, the action sequences and music composed by A.R. Rahman have helped the film greatly. The film even trended on the BMS App Ticket Sales for many days.
As said above, Raayan will also be a special film for Dhanush as it is his 50th film, and he acted in the film along with being a director. Dhanush’s upcoming film is Kubera which also stars Nagarjuna in a crucial role. Kubera is directed by Sekhar Kammula and is currently under shoot. Dhanush is also working on the Ilaiyaraaja Biopic film.
