Raayan is the latest action drama from Tamil cinema. Led by Dhanush as the lead actor and director, the film was released in theaters worldwide on July 26, 2024. Though the film received mixed reviews, it went on to become a big blockbuster at the box office by collecting 150 crore gross at the box office. The latest news is that the Telugu version of Raayan is all set to be telecasted on TV on the occasion of the Diwali festival.
Gemini TV, the popular television channel, has recently announced that Raayan will have its world television premiere this Diwali. Currently, Raayan is available for online streaming on Prime Video, and much like its theatrical response, the digital release of the film also started with mixed reviews, but later it registered good streaming minutes. Now it has to be seen what response Raayan’s television premiere would bring. The film tells the story of four siblings who lose their parents during their childhood and how their life changes when they get entangled with local criminal gang wars, which is the main focus of the story.
Raayan is written and directed by Dhanush, and it stars Sundeep Kishan, Dushara Vijayan, Kalidas Jayaram, SJ Suryah, Selva Raghavan, Prakash Raj, and others in crucial roles. AR Rahman scored the film’s music, and his songs and background score received immense love from audiences. Sun Pictures backed this action drama, which also happens to be the 50th film of Dhanush as an actor.
