Dhanush’s upcoming film Kubera, also starring Akkineni Nagarjuna in a pivotal role and Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead, is currently being filmed under the direction of Sekhar Kammula. The film has locked its OTT partner for the streaming rights, with Amazon Prime Video securing the rights.
While the release date for the theatrical debut has yet to be announced, Kammula will be exploring the action genre for the first time in his career with Kubera, making it intriguing to see how he handles this shift in style.
Based on the promos released so far, the film’s plot appears to revolve around money gambling. Produced by Suniel Narang and P. Ram Mohan Rao under the Asian Cinemas banner, Kubera is expected to hit the screens at the end of 2024 or early 2025. With the OTT deal now locked, the release date for the film is anticipated to be announced soon.
