Bad Newz Now Streaming on Prime Video, but there is a catch

Bad Newz is now streaming on Prime Video, but there is a catch. Starring Vicky Kaushal, Tripti Dimri, and Ammy Virk, the comedy drama was released in theaters worldwide on July 19, 2024. Directed by Anand Tiwari, the film has been made available on OTT, but there is a twist. The viewers can watch the film on the popular digital platform Prime Video by renting it for an amount of Rs 349. The arrival of Bad Newz on OTT was an unexpected one, as there was no official announcement from the OTT platform or the makers.

Prime Video has made it a habit to make the movies available for rent for a few days and, after a few days, make them available for all the regular subscribers. However, this move from the popular platform has received mixed responses from the viewers. The viewers feel they need not waste money by providing additional amounts for viewing films when they have already subscribed to the platform. Coming back to Bad Newz, the film’s story is about heteropaternal superfecundation, where a woman gets pregnant with two men. The reviewers and audiences felt that, despite the film having an exciting storyline and some genuine fun moments, it could have been more serious about its characters and plot.

Bad Newz is produced by Karan Johar under the Dharma Productions banner. Neha Dhupia, Sheeba Chaddha, Gajraj Rao, and Faisal Rashid appear in supporting roles. Amar Mohile composed music for the film.
