AP high court dismissed Naidu’s house motion

The Andhra Pradesh high court on Thursday dismissed the house motion petition filed by TDP chief and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on health grounds. The advocates for Naidu told the court that Naidu’s anticipatory bail be heard so early as he is having health issues.

The advocates said that Naidu had undergone cataract surgery four months ago for one eye and he needed second surgery for the other eye now. They have also expressed concerns about the health of Chandrababu Naidu.

The advocates wanted the court to post the matter before the Dasara vacation court for early hearing. However, the court expressed concern over the health of Chandrababu Naidu as said by his counsel.

The court directed the Rajamahendravaram central jail officials to conduct special tests on Chandrababu Naidu. The court also directed the jail officials to place the health records of Naidu before the bench that hears Naidu’s cases.

The court wanted the jail officials to provide medical treatment to Chandrababu Naidu in accordance with the law.

Meanwhile, the TDP leaders have expressed concerns over the health of Chandrababu Naidu. Former home minister Nimmakayala Chinarajappa said that Naidu would have to undergo cataract surgery for the second eye now. He wanted the jail officials to ensure that better health care is provided to Chandrababu Naidu.

Chinarajappa alleged that the ruling YSR Congress government was taking every issue on political grounds. He alleged that the government was using the police and the jail officials to take political revenge against the rivals.
