Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is gearing up to embark on a significant journey into the election battleground. With meticulous arrangements in place, Jagan’s ‘Memantha Siddham’ bus yatra is set to commence on March 27 (Wednesday). Despite having already announced all the candidates and actively engaging in campaigning, Jagan appears to be outpacing the Opposition and this bus yatra signifies a fresh start in the state’s election campaign, as Jagan prepares to immerse himself in the grassroots, spending time and connecting closely with the people.
With the stage set for the YSRCP’s prestigious ‘Memantha Siddham,’ this 21-day bus yatra from Idupulapaya to Ichapuram will cover 21 districts and 148 constituencies in the state, offering the party a unique opportunity to connect with the grassroots. This extensive journey will allow for direct interactions with the public, helping to consolidate support ahead of the upcoming elections. Jagan will commence the yatra from Idupulapaya in Kadapa district, where he will first pay his respects at the late CM YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s ghat before officially launching the campaign.
The evening in Kadapa will be electrified with a massive Siddham meeting in Proddatur town, following Jagan’s interactions with the cadre and the people of Vempalli, Kamalapuram, and Jamalamadugu constituencies earlier in the day.
While Siddham meetings have already energized four districts—Visakhapatnam, Eluru, Anantapur, and Bapatla—CM Jagan will now traverse the remaining districts to bolster the cadre and invigorate the party’s spirit.
The first phase of the bus yatra will focus on the Rayalaseema region, covering six districts: Kadapa, Kurnool, Annamayya, Tirupati, and Chittoor.
