YSRCP’s ‘Samajika Sadhikara’ yatra gets thunderous response in Paderu

On day 4 after the launch of the ‘Samajika Sadhikara’ yatra, YSRCP leadership landed in Paderu in Alluri Seetharama Raju District where the party received an outstanding reception. The day began with the YSRCP top brass including Deputy Chief Ministers Budi Mutyala Naidu and Peedika Rajannadora, Araku MP Goddeta Madhavi, Paderu MLA Kottugulla Bhagyalakshmi, Araku MLA Chetty Phalguna, among others congregating at the Vanthadapaelle check post where they were all greeted by the local community with traditional Adivasi dances, reflecting the region’s vibrant culture.

The leaders then paid a visit to Paderu Medical College where they discussed AP government’s significant investment in the Healthcare sector including an aid of Rs 500 crore for the college’s development.

Soon thereafter a procession of 500 motorcycles was carried by YSRCP supporters waving party flags, signalling the party’s strength and likability on ground. This was followed by a huge public gathering of over 15,000 people at Kindi Bazaar where Deputy Chief Minister Mutyala Naidu highlighted Chief Minister Jagan’s herculean efforts to transform Uttarandhra in the last four and a half years. He highlighted CM Jagan’s efforts to provide financial aid to the disadvantaged and weaker sections of society and lauded key schemes of the government in the education sector including Nadu-Nedu, providing quality school education for tribal students, and the Vidya Deevena program promoting higher education among tribal communities.

Deputy Chief Minister Pidika Rajannadora lauded Chief Minister Jagan for fulfilling almost all his manifesto promises, notably, the cancellation of the controversial GO No. 97 related to bauxite mining, demonstrating his dedication to tribal development. He stated, ‘Jagan’s unprecedented electoral success in all seven tribal constituencies is proof of the support he enjoys. The establishment of Paderu Medical College, relieving tribals from traveling to Visakhapatnam for medical care, is another milestone.’

He then went on to lambast Chandrababu Naidu and said, ‘In contrast to the Jagan Government, the previous TDP government was negligent towards tribal interests. There were also disparities in loan waivers.

But CM Jagan addressed all pressing issues including the removal of 48,000 belt shops, which proved to be a boon to the tribal women. He pointed out that, upon assuming office, Chief Minister Jagan established the ST Commission and prioritized addressing tribal rights, a stark contrast to the previous TDP government’s mere lip service.

Furthermore, he highlighted that in 2014, ‘Chandrababu campaigned on promises of job creation, yet upon coming into power, the tribal community in the state received no employment opportunities, while his own son, Lokesh, was given a ministerial berth.’

In terms of financial allocation, the previous government had only allocated Rs 12,000 crores for tribal welfare, but under Jagan’s leadership, an impressive sum of Rs 17,132 crores has been dedicated, benefiting 59 lakh individuals. Notably, the government’s commitment to tribal development was underscored by an expenditure of approximately Rs 20,000 crores overall,’ he remarked.

Concluding the massive public gathering, Paderu MLA, Kottagulli Bhagya Lakshmi said, ‘During the TDP rule, CBN overlooked STs, but Jagan took STs into his cabinet and made them stand right beside himself. People of Paderu have always supported YSRCP because of the initiatives of YS Rajashekhar Reddy. Now, CM Jagan is also following in his father’s footsteps to better the lives of Tribal people and we must reward him with our unwavering support.’

Apart from Paderu in ASRR district, YSRCP’s bus yatra also took place in Denduluru in Eluru district and Udayagiri in Nellore district today.
