The ninth day of the YSRCP’s ‘Samajika Sadhikara’ bus yatra, held in the Kakinada rural constituency, garnered a tremendous response from the public, particularly individuals from backward communities who gathered in large numbers and actively participated in the yatra. Deputy Chief Minister Budi Mutyala Naidu, along with Ministers Chelluboyina Venugopala Krishna, Pinipe Viswaroop, Taneti Vanitha, MPs Vanga Geetha, Mopidevi Venkataramana, and MLAs Kurasala Kanna Babu, Anil Kumar Yadav, as well as other senior leaders, joined the bus yatra.
Taking a dig at TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, Minister Chelluboyina Venugopala Krishna remarked that after witnessing the positive initiatives for the backward communities undertaken by the YSRCP government, Chandrababu Naidu developed an eye problem. He reminded the public as to how Chandrababu had backstabbed and betrayed his father-in-law NTR and unsolicitedly taken over the party affairs. He reiterated that everything that Naidu has today is because of his treacherous past.
Drawing a parallel between Chandrababu Naidu and CM Jagan, Minister Pinipe Viswaroop stated that while Chandrababu had allocated five ministerial positions to backward classes during his tenure, he kept changing these positions every six months, which means that such positions were actually an eyewash during TDP regime. In contrast, CM Jagan achieved inclusivity by appointing five deputy chief ministers fromBC, SC, ST, and Minority communities, thereby genuinely championing the social justice mantra.
Elaborating on YSRCP’s policy impact, MLA Kanna Babu informed the public that more than Rs 800 crore had been provided to nearly 1 lakh beneficiaries under various welfare schemes in Kakinada rural constituency alone. In the same breath, he attacked Chandrababu for focussing on the progress of primarily one particular social class, ensuring that they receive all positions and contracts.
MP Mopidevi credited CM Jagan for allocating Rajya Sabha seats and powerful ministerial berths to backward classes while attributing Chandrababu with a history of selling Rajya Sabha posts. “While Chandrababu mastered finding illegal ways to siphon public money, CM Jagan was committed to responsibly distributing funds for the welfare of the underprivileged,” the MP stated.
Hailing CM Jagan’s governance, Home Minister Taneti Vanitha said that Jagan had left a profound mark on Andhra Pradesh’s history. In the annals of the state, we will be talking about ‘Before Jagan’ and ‘After Jagan,’ just as we differentiate history before and after Christ. She maintained that no matter how many groups come to defeat Jagan Mohan Reddy, he would fight the poll battle alone and still emerge victorious.
