Yet another survey predicts big win for Jagan

Another survey in the state had predicted a big victory for chief minister and YSR Congress president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy. The survey gave 122 seats to the YSR Congress and 53 seats to the opposition Telugu Desam Party and Jana Sena combine.

The survey conducted by the Elecsense Research Limited had projected one more term for Jagan Mohan Reddy. The survey was conducted between December 1, 2023 to January 12, 2024. It covered all 175 Assembly segments with a sample size of 88,700 votes. All the samples were collected by direct contact with the voters.

All the collected samples were randomly verified through the data verification team. Doubtful samples were not considered in the analysis, the Elecsense said in the statement. The survey was done considering that there would be TDP and Jana Sena alliance.

The survey was conducted with eight questions related to schemes implementation, developmental policies, stand of special category status to the state, public services and governance, media influence, caste and community dynamics, law and order and regional party preferences with alliances.

The survey gave 49.14 per cent votes for the YSR Congress, while 44.34 per cent went to the Opposition TDP and Jana Sena, 0.56 per cent to the BJP, 1.21 per cent to the Congress and 4.75 per cent to others.

The survey also says that 54.77 per cent women are with the YSR Congress, while 41.12 per cent are with the TDP and Jana Sena. Among men, 45.68 per cent are with the YSR Congress, while 49.67 per cent are with the TDP and Jana Sena alliance.

In the age group, the youth between 18-30 years, 43.04 per cent are with the YSR Congress, while 53.05 per cent are with the TDP and Jana Sena. Among the aged between 30 years and 45, 50.72 per cent are with the YSR Congress, while 45.56 per cent are with the TDP-Jana Sena combine. Those above 45 and below 60 years, 55 per cent are with the YSR Congress, while 41.95 per cent are with the TDP-Jana Sena. Those above 60 years, 57.07 per cent are with the YSR Congress and 40.51 per cent are with the TDP-Jana Sena combine.

Among the daily wage labourers 52.62 per cent are with the YSR Congress, followed by hose wives 53.78, farmers 50.44, self-employed and small business 49.33, students 41.01, employed 48.38, and others 45.57 per cent. Only students are the large number that favours the TDP-Jana Sena combine with a percentage of 55.23.
