FIR filed against Sajjala in Mangalagiri Police Station

An FIR was filed against YSR Congress general secretary Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy at Mangalagiri Police station on Friday. The FIR was registered following a complaint given by TDP former minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao and Gudapati Lakshminarayana. They alleged that Sajjala had made a provocative speech with his party counting agents at a meeting on Thursday in Tadepalli.

Sajjala had told his party counting agents to be cautious and try to prevent the opposition agents from crossing their limits and causing obstruction to them during the counting of votes. He also told them to ensure that they don’t make YSR Congress votes invalid. He wanted them to be cautious and also observe the rule of law.

Sajjala told his party agents to get to know the law and the rule position of the election commission of India while working as counting agents. He told them to check the rules and ensure that the opposition counting agents do not dominate the counting scene. However, he also told them to see that the opposition counting agents do not take over or dominate the counting process.

What is important is that Sajjala had only cautioned his party counting agents against the excess of the opposition party counting agents. He also told them to be cautious during the counting and ensure that the YSR Congress votes are not invalid.

It is now to be seen what steps that the YSR Congress would take against the FIR registered against Sajjala is to be seen.
