Xiaomi has officially confirmed the launch date for its highly anticipated Xiaomi 14 in India. The Chinese manufacturer announced via a post on X that the Xiaomi 14 will make its debut in India on March 7. This news comes after the company previously teased its partnership with Leica on the official Xiaomi India X page.
The Xiaomi 14 series is set to launch globally on February 25 during the Mobile World Congress (MWC). Originally unveiled in China last year in October, the Xiaomi 14 is expected to arrive in India a couple of weeks after its global launch, and several months after its initial reveal in China. It’s worth noting that, as per the teaser shared by Xiaomi, India may only receive the vanilla Xiaomi 14, with the Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Xiaomi 14 Pro potentially not launching in the country.
In terms of specifications, the Xiaomi 14 in China is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and features a 6.36-inch LTPO display with 1.5K resolution and adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. The Indian variant is likely to offer similar specifications, including up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
The camera setup on the Xiaomi 14, co-engineered with Leica, includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS and a Summilux lens, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera, and another 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor. Additionally, the handset boasts an IP68 rating and packs a 4,610mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
Xiaomi also confirmed the upcoming launch of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra in China on February 22. The Ultra variant is set to feature a 1-inch 50-megapixel Sony LYT900 sensor with an f/1.63 aperture and Leica Summilux optical lens, along with dual telephoto cameras using 50-megapixel Sony IMX858 sensors.
Stay tuned for more updates on the Xiaomi 14 series as we approach the official launch date in India and globally.
