Vivo has once again pushed the boundaries of smartphone design with its latest offerings, the V40 and V40 Pro. These new devices manage to pack impressive 5,500 mAh batteries – the largest ever in the V series – into remarkably thin bodies. Both models support 80W FlashCharge technology, ensuring rapid power-ups when needed. Running on Funtouch OS 14, based on Android 14, Vivo promises a “50-month smooth experience,” hinting at extended software support. The company also claims the batteries will retain at least 80% of their original capacity after 1,600 full cycles, significantly extending the phones’ lifespans.
The V40 and V40 Pro come in various memory configurations to suit different user needs. The V40 offers 8/128 GB, 12/256 GB, and 12/512 GB options, while the V40 Pro is available in 8/256 GB, 12/256 GB, and 12/512 GB variants. Both models feature a sleek design and are available in Meteor Blue, Moonlight White, and Stellar Silver. The V40 adds two exclusive color options: Nebula Purple and Sunglow Peach.
Launching first in India, the V40 and V40 Pro are set to roll out gradually to other markets. The V40 starts at a competitive price point of INR39,999, while the more feature-rich V40 Pro begins at INR54,999 With their combination of large batteries, fast charging, extended software support, and stylish design, Vivo’s latest offerings are poised to make a significant impact in the mid-to-high-end smartphone market.
