Will BJP leadership accept Pawan’s request?

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan had said that he had requested the BJP national leadership to support the Jana Sena-TDP alliance in Andhra Pradesh for the 2024 general election. He made this statement at the TDP’s Yuva Galam concluding public meeting on Wednesday.

Pawan Kalyan had aligned with the TDP ahead of the 2024 general election. He said that the two parties would contest the elections and ensure that they formed the government after the elections. He said that the anti-government vote should not be divided and hence the alliance is required.

Pawan Kalyan said he made a personal request to BJP senior leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah about the alliance with the TDP. He had explained how the YSR Congress leaders were looting the state and emphasised the need to stop this looting.

He claimed that the BJP national leadership was silent to his statement and hoped that the BJP too would join the alliance with the TDP in the state. He also expressed confidence that the BJP would come for alliance with the TDP once the election process is started.

While Pawan Kalyan hopes that the BJP too would join the alliance, the BJP leaders are silent on this. BJP AP unit president Daggubati Purandheswari had said that the Jana Sena is in alliance with the BJP and had not severed ties with them so far. She also left the alliance issue to the party national leadership.

The national leadership is not ready to buy the lies of the TDP leadership. The BJP leaders have the experience of being betrayed by the TDP twice in the past. A good number of the BJP national leaders believe that Chandrababu Naidu is not a trusted friend.

The BJP national leaders have also in the past said that the TDP is not a trusted friend. They have also said that their doors are closed for the TDP once for all. Will they open those doors again is the big question.
