The Greatest of All-Time (The GOAT), the latest action drama of Thalapathy Vijay, is showing superb consistency at the box office. Despite getting mixed reactions, the film has shown a good hold and is getting good numbers in Tamil Nadu and overseas. The film was released in theaters worldwide on September 5, 2024, amidst huge expectations.
Because of the negative talk, The GOAT’s collections were not that great in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Kerala. Except for a decent opening number in Kerala, the film has already become a big failure in the above-mentioned areas. However, the film is going on a solid note in its homeland, Tamil Nadu. The film collected double-digit gross on the 6th day, and the overall number stands at 130 crore in TN. Overseas is another strong area for the film, where it minted 125 crore gross till now.
So, the overall worldwide gross collection of The Goat will be over 320 crores for 6 days. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the film has crossed all the previous records of Vijay, and currently it stands as the second all-time highest grosser in his career, only behind Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Leo, which is an industry hit in Tamil Nadu. The Greatest of All-Time is well on course to achieve the breakeven mark.
