Samsung Set to Revive Square Smartwatches with New Galaxy Watch Line

Samsung is reportedly gearing up to reintroduce square or rectangular smartwatches under its Galaxy Watch lineup, a departure from its recent focus on round smartwatch designs. The move marks a potential shift back to the company’s earlier designs, such as the Galaxy Gear from 2013, which was followed by the Gear 2 and Gear Live in similar form factors.

According to a recent report, Samsung is actively considering this shift internally and is enthusiastic about the idea. The switch to square or rectangular shapes for its smartwatches is said to be “very much on the cards.” However, it remains unclear whether the new rectangular Galaxy Watch will debut as the Galaxy Watch7, expected to launch in early to mid-July alongside Samsung’s next-gen foldables, or if it will be introduced in 2025.

As details continue to emerge, Samsung fans and tech enthusiasts can expect to hear more about this development in the near future. Stay tuned for further updates on Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Watch lineup.
