Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6: First Renders and Expected Features

Samsung recently unveiled the Galaxy S24 flagships, and now the company is gearing up for the launch of its next foldable devices, typically released in the summer. Although the official launch is still several months away, we already have a sneak peek at the first renders of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6, thanks to information obtained by OnLeaks.

The renders reveal a design that closely resembles its predecessors, the Fold5 and Fold4, with slight modifications. The corners of the frame are slightly sharper, and the sides are now completely flat.

The Galaxy Z Fold6 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and feature Galaxy AI, Samsung’s own take on generative AI features.

According to the source, the Fold6 will sport a 7.6” foldable panel and measure 153.5 x 132.5 x 6.1 mm when unfolded. This makes it 1.4 mm shorter and 2.6 mm wider than its predecessor. There is still no slot for an S Pen, and the unchanged thickness suggests a similar internal design, including the hinge.

The cover screen is rumored to measure 6.2” with a 120 Hz refresh rate and up to 2,600 nits brightness.

In terms of software, the Z Fold6 is expected to come with One UI 6.1.1 on top of Android 14, and Samsung is rumored to offer 7 major OS updates and 7 years of security updates for the device.

These renders and specifications offer a glimpse into what we can expect from Samsung’s upcoming foldable device, and fans are eagerly anticipating its official launch later this year.
