Salaar is an eagerly awaited Pan India project in 2023, featuring Rebel Star Prabhas in the lead role alongside Shruthi Hassan as his love interest. Directed by KGF fame Prashanth Neel, with Ravi Basrur handling the music. Salaar has faced a couple of postponements, but the makers assure that it’s on track for a release on December 21st, 2023. The highly anticipated trailer is now out, offering a glimpse into the plot and what to expect from the film.
The trailer opens with the childhood friendship between two characters who later get separated. As they come of age, the world of Salaar is introduced, featuring a kingdom where everyone is vying for the throne. Prithviraj Sukumaran, one of the childhood friends, is introduced, showcasing his journey, including a dramatic fall that sets the stage for the protagonist, Prabhas, as Deva. In the 3 minutes and 47 seconds runtime, Prabhas makes his entrance after 2 and a half minutes, but his scenes are visually striking despite the short screen time. The trailer concludes with a dialogue, “Please! I kindly request,” while showing Prabhas in an action glimpse surrounded by a formation of swords.
The trailer appears to serve as an introduction to the plot, highlighting the kind of elevations to expect from Prabhas.
